About
ROSWARNE
A historic house in Cornwall available for celebrations, gatherings, holidays, weddings, conferences
WE FIND HAPPINESS IN WELCOMING
you and guests to Roswarne
Thereby elevating its grandeur with your presence. With you, the house lives. We care about how much enjoyment you and your guests will experience and the memories you will make. We know that by inviting everyone in we can ensure the house remains accessible for all. We love the idea that everything we do will stand for generations to come. We think that the Holman and the Harris Families (owners before us) would be proud of our work to protect one of the few remaining Cornish estates.
THE HISTORY OFRoswarne
Roswarne was first constructed in the Regency period - the Jane Austen era - around 1812. This stately manor has a long and fascinating history. Most recently the Price family have spent ten years re-building, renovating and redecorating this amazing example of Grade II* Greek revival architecture.
Set in a stunning backdrop of ancient magnolias and beech trees with rolling lawns that extend to six acres, Holman Park is, in itself, a spectacular restoration.
Close to the north cliffs of Cornwall, the woods of Tehidy and the beaches of Portreath and Gwithian as well as the monument of Carn Brea and infamous mining heritage, Roswarne has always been a place for socialites and celebrations.

Roswarne Then & Now
Roswarne House has been host to many key events in its past; brass bands playing on the steps, harpist in the Orangery, singer and band or disco in the Ballroom, picnics and meetings on the lawn, yoga in the Hall, cream teas in the Music rooms, photo shoots on the elliptical staircase, filming models in the Library... to name but a few!

Today, the house is fully restored and ready for functions from a simple dinner for two to a theatre dining experience, a formal dining event for up to fifty, or a marquee reception for one hundred and fifty. Self-catering or catered events are possible. Use our recommend vendors or invite your own.
